The Posters will be considered to any one of the following Categories:

1. Most “Innovative” Product/Technology  Template

This award is directed to all posters/work that are focused on the presentation of a product concept as well as new processes and procedures or services that, given their characteristics and potential, are innovative and add value to what is currently available. We invite you to bring to the day of the conference your invention to present and demonstrate it to the attending audience.

2. Best “Go-to-Market” Strategy  Template

This award is directed to all posters/work focused on the implementation of a “Go-to-Market” strategy for an actual product / prototype (including software) and its relevance when compared with similar products available. We invite you to bring to the day of the conference your prototype / product to present and demonstrate it to the attending audience.

3. Scientific Breakthrough  Template

In this category the eligible posters/work should be related to the most recent advances of your research that can give birth, in the future, to new products or address existing needs. This would entail new findings and discoveries, that promote further understanding of the world, or that enable new technologies.

General Information

Four Awards will be issued on the day of the competition. Three of the awards will be attributed by a Judging Committee which will select the best Poster in each of the categories in competition. Additionally, all the posters in competition will be eligible for a fourth Prize, the People’s Choice, since the General attendees of the Forum will be allowed to select their favourite work. Here, the skills to sell your idea and excite the audience will play the major role in making you the winner!

All persons attending the conference are eligible for the competition (whether part of MIT Portugal or not). Entrants are required to submit an A1-sized poster in PDF format (to poster2013@www.e3forum.org) by midnight (Lisbon Time) on 23rd June. You are requested to use poster template above. The E3 Forum Poster Team will print out your poster and hang it in the designated area on the morning of the conference.

Participants are allowed to bring other supporting materials such as prototypes if desired, however the E3 Poster Team (poster2013@www.e3forum.org) must be notified of any supporting materials desired to ensure space is available, and safety requirements are met. The authors of the posters/work guarantee that the work presented is their own. Help will be provided by E3 Poster Team (poster2013@www.e3forum.org), in case you are unsure of the correct category for your poster, or have any other questions.
